Prima Rosa Flowers

Winner of the prestigious “GOLD AWARD” at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, Primarosa Flowers Limited is a well-established group of modern rose farms under metal green houses. Formed in 2003 with a takeover of Stoni-Athi, our Prima Rosa Farm is situated at an altitude of 1500m and spreads across an area of 150 hectares. Located about 45km outside Nairobi on the main Mombasa road, Primarosa boasts of modern infrastructure, advanced crop management systems and high quality control systems that have made it the showpiece of the flower industry in Kenya. With two rose farms – The Prima Rosa Farm and The Zuri Farm, Primarosa Flowers Ltd. today exports 100 million roses to the UK, Middle East and Holland. Our roses are the showpiece of the world-renowned floricultural industry and destined for greater glory as expansion plans are in pipe line. Primarosa Flowers Ltd – the floriculture division of Zuri Group Global, employs over 1600 employees. Our state-of-the-art harvesting and grading techniques, high level of quality checks at intake and a well-trained and motivated team makes us the market leader in high quality roses.

The Prima Rosa Farms

  • The state-of-the-art Prima Rosa farm at Athi River is situated about 45kms away from the city of Nairobi and at an altitude of 1600m, an extremely favourable location for flower growing industries. The farm has a production facility of 28 hectares (both under soil and coco peat) fully operational and run by qualified professionals and having 29 metal green houses ranging from 0.05 hectares to 1.2 hectares. The farm is well-equipped and has an average team strength of 650 to grow high quality roses for the export market.

 

The Zuri Farms

  • The Zuri farm at Ol Joro Orok was established with an aim to cater to the niche markets of big bud size flowers and to expand the customer base in this segment. The farm is located 200km from Nairobi, towards Nyahururu and is 6kms from Ol Joro Orok town. It is at an altitude of 2300 m on a 70 hectares stretch of land completely under metal green houses. It was started in 2004 and has 37 hectares under production (100% pumice as the growth medium), having 24 green houses ranging between 0.37 hectares to 1.54 hectares. This farm is also well-equipped and managed by qualified professionals with a team strength of an average 700 members.
